Buckaroo Got A Few Long Distance Visitors

Cowboys grandparents came from the great state of Washington this summer, they stayed the night at our house and got to meet their newest little great grandson. It was so much fun having them for a visit!

They brought their dog T-BONE. He got to play with our pups, and experience rural life for a minute.

Cowboy was really glad it worked out, he didn't have to work and he was able to visit for a while.

He is always so amazed when he sees his grandparents, he thinks they are shrinking more and more. See our little punk! He was not on his best behavior.

3 Months!!

This is a pretty late entry, don't hold it against me. My baby is three months and its killing me. I feel like time is going by so fast. Buckaroo has really opened his eyes this last month and is alert for such a long time. Food is his biggest comfort. He started smiling and trying to talk, his talking is a bit more like squeaking.

His little fists are starting to unclench. he opens and shuts them all day long. He is so funny with his tongue in, out, in, out.....just like a lizard. He is getting better at finding his thumb, fingers, or the back of his hand when he wants something to suck on.

He is wearing 0-3 month clothes and right at the first of the month he made the transition to size 1 diapers. he could still fit in the newborns, but I am sick of buying him diapers and we got so many size 1's for shower gifts I decided to put those to use.

Buckaroo started sleeping through the night and we are a much happier family.

Sweet Boy!! I can't believe you are growing up so fast. I love you and I want you to be my baby forever. You have opened my eyes in ways I can't believe, You're our little miracle baby, and your worth everything it took to get you here. I love you baby buckaroo!

Our own trip to Kona Hawaii, lots of pictures included

I'm back after a little vacation to Kona, Hawaii, and quite the bloggy breather. Sorry I've been gone for so long, I have missed you all, really. I'm glad to be back. I will be posting quite a bit in the next few days because I have so much to catch up on.

Kona was beautiful. it was only blue skies twice, and the rest of the time the island was covered and overcast from the volcano fog.

Lil' Buckaroo only had one cousin to entertain him, it's all good, Liliana is good company.

Cowboy hangin' loose in Hawaii!

See those two people sitting above the falls, that's me and Cowboy. It was beautiful from the top.

This is a crab that my bro-in-law M caught, he made me put it in my hands but it didn't stay long enough to snag a picture. I've turned into such a girl!

Don't mind my hair it's crazy out of control, Cowboy loves me anyway.

We took a scenic route, ended up going coconut hunting. These were our spoils.

When we got back Cowboy was the only one who wanted to do the hard work it took to open those coconuts.

If I were ever stranded on an island with only coconuts I would starve!

Cowboy is a different story, he really likes coconuts!

We attempted to have a swim party with Buckaroo, he was only a good sport until his junk got wet, then he was done.

Swimming was exhausting!

This was a little friend he lived on the patio and was always around.

We spent time snorkeling at different beaches on the island.

The babies were good sports. The salt water didn't bother them.

I bashed my leg into some coral, it hurt worse than it looks.

Soakin' up the sun! (through the spf and the fog)

Beach Bums!

I broke the law and touched this sea turtle. Shhhh. Don't tell.

We went to a luau and ate Kahlua pork.

The entertainment was good. It was cute, when the dancers would come out Buckaroo was totally fixated and watched intently.

Cowboys Brother Jay got selected to dance on stage and learn the Hula, he's supposed to be watching this girls hips and mimicking her moves, I don't think that what he's lookin' at. What do you think?

Oh, this is funny....We could rent a baby bed for $30 for the week, but Cowboy is inventive and we ended up keeping the cash! Way to go Cowboy!! That's all I have to say about that.

Wow!! This was such a long post, if you made to the end you deserve a trip to Hawaii for yourself.

Tribute: To The Cranky Bottom Boys

Cowboy, I'm sorry you had such a long day at work. I know your tired and hungry and cranky. I wish I could help you. I love you anyways.

Lil' Buckaroo, I love you and I feed you and I rock you to sleep, and when you wake up I understand that you are often times ready for a new face or someone different than me. I wish I could help you. I love you anyways.

Cranky bottom boys, I sure do wish that you both could get the sleep you need and wake up happy and sweet.

Aaahhh!! But I have found the answer. You both must take a nap together, this is mandatory, and I will go file my finger nails, and mask my face, and shave my legs and feel like a woman for a moment in time.

Thank you for being so willing to do as I command. Now if only you two can return the favor and make me take a mandatory nap someday I would be much obliged!

Who does he look like?

WARNING: This could quite possibly be offensive, viewer discretion is advised

I had a recent conversation with my mom and she said if I posted this people could/would/should think I am cruel and totally unusual to poke fun of my baby like I do.

Here is my disclaimer within a matter of just about 20 days my Lil' Buckaroo has chunked up 2 pounds, this is no big deal normally, but when your only 23 inches long it makes a big difference. His weight has gone to his cheeks and they are so much fun to kiss! Anyways, back to the matter he is also losing his hair in a male-pattern-baldness sort of a fashion. It is still growing and present on the sides and in the back. However, on the top it is disappearing faster than the glaciers from global warming.

Take a look, here is the man of the hour, you can kinda see his male pattern baldness and his cheeks are pretty puffy in this picture.

Now, answer me this. WHo does he resemble more?

Could it be Spencer W. Kimball (My mom's suggestion, she is way sweeter than me, I came up with the next ones all on my own)

Yoda, the Jedi Master

Or this sweet puppy that I will bring home to Cowboy when he least expects it and we can have a lassie repeat all over again(Long story I'll fill you all in someday).

Please do tell me your thoughts.....AM I a horrible mother, will I go to hell for my disturbing thoughts, who does my baby look like?

Buckaroo's Blessing Day

On April 13th we blessed lil' Buckaroo. Cowboy did a great job. We had a family party at our house when it was done, I love family parties, and I love potlucks even better. It was such a nice day all around. we made pulled pork, and thanks to Paula Dean it turned out perfect (I've never made pulled pork, I was scared to death)

I love this picture.

Look closely, Buckaroo and Cowboy match each other to the T!

My beautiful mom made the cutest most perfect suit for Buckaroo, and I'm not kiddin' its an exact replica! I'm sure it was a pain to sew because it's so small, but it turned out perfect. I love it. Cowboy's sweet Aunt Patsy made Buckaroo's tie out of a tie that matched Cowboys. She scaled it down to size from an adult tie. It looks so cute with his little white shirt! I'm not so traditional, I really wanted to do something for Buckaroo's blessing that isn't run-of-the-mill, and this little bitty suit was was it! (don't tell anyone, but I have had this in my head since before I ever even met Cowboy!......I know, I'm weird)

I love our little family, we aren't perfect not a single one of us, but we are perfect for each other.

I love seeing my man with my baby, there's just something about them that so tender to me.

HEHEHEHEHE! I think this picture is so funny, Buckaroo looks like a little
high-council-man, he comes complete with that tired look (like he's trying not to fall asleep during sacrament meeting), and his hair is thicker on the sides than the top, and he's also receding!

This picture needs no explanation.

Thanks Mom!! Thanks Aunt Patsy!! You both rock, and I love you to bits!

Shout Out!

I am going to give a shout out today for one of my favorite things, I love this so much! it has come in handy around the house and it's one of the better purchases I have made. My friend Kellie recommended it to me when I was pregnant. Great suggestion Kellie! Thanks! This sling is from www.lucky-baby.com Lil' Buckaroo loves it, it snuggles him right up, and he loves being snuggled. It also distributes the weight of the baby across your body evenly and is very comfortable to wear.

They have lots of great patterns and if your husband is more metro-sexual than mine you might be able to get away with one of those. Don't get me wrong I love this pattern.

If you are pregnant or know someone who is I strongly recommend this investment. It would make a great gift, and they hold your little one till they are 18 months. So you can get a lot of use out of them.
