Summer 2009

My kid brother got his LDS mission call to the Tacloban Phillipines Mission. We are super excited for him, it wasn't Boise.

My mom had been planning a hoorah for all of us to be tgether this summer, and it just so happened we went to the Manti Pageant in Manti Utah of all places. My hubsters mom and stepdad have a cabin down there. So, wouldn't you know it. 11 adults, 2 kids, 3 toddlers, and 1 infant piled into one house for roughly 4 days.

I quite frankly enjoyed myself. Have I mentioned I love my family.

We were full blown tourists. Rowdy and Red, Rowdy's not so sure of the scenery.

I think Rowdy was a little bit scared of the scenery.

Maybe terrified.

This was pretty much his attitude for the entire rest of the pageant. We walked several blocks in Manti during the show. It's a beautiful little town. Maybe next time I'll see less of it and more of the show.

This was the weather, and the reason we walked in the rain. Hey, at least it wasn't hot.

This was the scenery before the pageant started. It was very pretty.

This is my mom, she's married to my dad, she's my sibling mom too. But I'm her favorite. Don't tell my siblings cause I'm pretty sure they think they are her favorite, and I'm all about keepin' the peace.

This is my baby Colt, I call him Dewey for short. You can too.

He takes after his aunt Heidi when it comes to getting his picture taken. They see that lens and their tongue sticks right on out.

This was the tub, It was bathtime, and since my mom raised my sisters and I to be efficient, we decided 3 naked toddlers were better than one. Rwdy wasn't feeling the efficiency.

My mom didn't raise him, But she's welcome to as long as she stresses the efficiency.

3 toddlers make for awfully dirty bath water, don't ya think?

And they all have perfectly polished farmers tans.

In our continued effort to be perfect parents, we found a mosquito and put it on our babies eye, we just wanted to see what he'd do.

Turns out he swolled right up, but didn't pop.

This is my kid brother, he was supposed to be cooking a mean lunch with the manfolk in the family

These are the manfolk in my family, minus my kid brother, they are cooking a mean lunch for all of the women folk and babies. They were moaning and whining...eeerrrr grunting and flexing. It was a bonding experience.

This was the mean lunch. It took approximately 45 minutes from atart to finish. It was delish!!!

Coming up next....The way my family entertains ourselves on vacation.

Late Halloween Pictures

Sorry these are late, but if I was on time, it just wouldn't be my style. Halloween was a bunch of fun this year, and my husband even got the evening off! We went to my sisters cause it was her babies birthday. We did the cake and ice cream and visited with family, then we went to my husbands mom's house to show her Rowdy in his Halloween duds.

I'm sure all of your family pictures look tons better than this one. I'm sure you all look at the camera the whole time. Right? And I'm also sure my family is the only family with 96% of their family pictures containing backs of heads and side shots of faces.

Aaahh! This ones better. isn't it funny how you only get one good one out of the six that your mom took... Sorry Mom. When it's time for you to take our Christmas card pic we'll try to focus.

This is my sweet boy! He was Charlie Brown for Halloween. Because he has a fat, round, bald head. Just like Charlie Brown. Thanks for the idea! (You know who you are.)

I have this weird thing, I don't love store bought Halloween costumes, and I really didn't want to just buy one cause it's a tradition I loved as a kid, having my mom make the most awesome costumes for us all. So with my moms help I cut out the pattern and she sewed it together. Doesn't it look great?! Maybe next year I'll have sharpened my seamstress skills enough to do it all on my own.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

We have this nice play place in the back yard and all the kids love it!

Daddy thought he would give Buckaroo a chance to love it too!

"Lassie" loves to see what Buckaroo is doing!
