Summer 2009

My kid brother got his LDS mission call to the Tacloban Phillipines Mission. We are super excited for him, it wasn't Boise.

My mom had been planning a hoorah for all of us to be tgether this summer, and it just so happened we went to the Manti Pageant in Manti Utah of all places. My hubsters mom and stepdad have a cabin down there. So, wouldn't you know it. 11 adults, 2 kids, 3 toddlers, and 1 infant piled into one house for roughly 4 days.

I quite frankly enjoyed myself. Have I mentioned I love my family.

We were full blown tourists. Rowdy and Red, Rowdy's not so sure of the scenery.

I think Rowdy was a little bit scared of the scenery.

Maybe terrified.

This was pretty much his attitude for the entire rest of the pageant. We walked several blocks in Manti during the show. It's a beautiful little town. Maybe next time I'll see less of it and more of the show.

This was the weather, and the reason we walked in the rain. Hey, at least it wasn't hot.

This was the scenery before the pageant started. It was very pretty.

This is my mom, she's married to my dad, she's my sibling mom too. But I'm her favorite. Don't tell my siblings cause I'm pretty sure they think they are her favorite, and I'm all about keepin' the peace.

This is my baby Colt, I call him Dewey for short. You can too.

He takes after his aunt Heidi when it comes to getting his picture taken. They see that lens and their tongue sticks right on out.

This was the tub, It was bathtime, and since my mom raised my sisters and I to be efficient, we decided 3 naked toddlers were better than one. Rwdy wasn't feeling the efficiency.

My mom didn't raise him, But she's welcome to as long as she stresses the efficiency.

3 toddlers make for awfully dirty bath water, don't ya think?

And they all have perfectly polished farmers tans.

In our continued effort to be perfect parents, we found a mosquito and put it on our babies eye, we just wanted to see what he'd do.

Turns out he swolled right up, but didn't pop.

This is my kid brother, he was supposed to be cooking a mean lunch with the manfolk in the family

These are the manfolk in my family, minus my kid brother, they are cooking a mean lunch for all of the women folk and babies. They were moaning and whining...eeerrrr grunting and flexing. It was a bonding experience.

This was the mean lunch. It took approximately 45 minutes from atart to finish. It was delish!!!

Coming up next....The way my family entertains ourselves on vacation.

Our own trip to Kona Hawaii, lots of pictures included

I'm back after a little vacation to Kona, Hawaii, and quite the bloggy breather. Sorry I've been gone for so long, I have missed you all, really. I'm glad to be back. I will be posting quite a bit in the next few days because I have so much to catch up on.

Kona was beautiful. it was only blue skies twice, and the rest of the time the island was covered and overcast from the volcano fog.

Lil' Buckaroo only had one cousin to entertain him, it's all good, Liliana is good company.

Cowboy hangin' loose in Hawaii!

See those two people sitting above the falls, that's me and Cowboy. It was beautiful from the top.

This is a crab that my bro-in-law M caught, he made me put it in my hands but it didn't stay long enough to snag a picture. I've turned into such a girl!

Don't mind my hair it's crazy out of control, Cowboy loves me anyway.

We took a scenic route, ended up going coconut hunting. These were our spoils.

When we got back Cowboy was the only one who wanted to do the hard work it took to open those coconuts.

If I were ever stranded on an island with only coconuts I would starve!

Cowboy is a different story, he really likes coconuts!

We attempted to have a swim party with Buckaroo, he was only a good sport until his junk got wet, then he was done.

Swimming was exhausting!

This was a little friend he lived on the patio and was always around.

We spent time snorkeling at different beaches on the island.

The babies were good sports. The salt water didn't bother them.

I bashed my leg into some coral, it hurt worse than it looks.

Soakin' up the sun! (through the spf and the fog)

Beach Bums!

I broke the law and touched this sea turtle. Shhhh. Don't tell.

We went to a luau and ate Kahlua pork.

The entertainment was good. It was cute, when the dancers would come out Buckaroo was totally fixated and watched intently.

Cowboys Brother Jay got selected to dance on stage and learn the Hula, he's supposed to be watching this girls hips and mimicking her moves, I don't think that what he's lookin' at. What do you think?

Oh, this is funny....We could rent a baby bed for $30 for the week, but Cowboy is inventive and we ended up keeping the cash! Way to go Cowboy!! That's all I have to say about that.

Wow!! This was such a long post, if you made to the end you deserve a trip to Hawaii for yourself.

Buckaroo's Blessing Day

On April 13th we blessed lil' Buckaroo. Cowboy did a great job. We had a family party at our house when it was done, I love family parties, and I love potlucks even better. It was such a nice day all around. we made pulled pork, and thanks to Paula Dean it turned out perfect (I've never made pulled pork, I was scared to death)

I love this picture.

Look closely, Buckaroo and Cowboy match each other to the T!

My beautiful mom made the cutest most perfect suit for Buckaroo, and I'm not kiddin' its an exact replica! I'm sure it was a pain to sew because it's so small, but it turned out perfect. I love it. Cowboy's sweet Aunt Patsy made Buckaroo's tie out of a tie that matched Cowboys. She scaled it down to size from an adult tie. It looks so cute with his little white shirt! I'm not so traditional, I really wanted to do something for Buckaroo's blessing that isn't run-of-the-mill, and this little bitty suit was was it! (don't tell anyone, but I have had this in my head since before I ever even met Cowboy!......I know, I'm weird)

I love our little family, we aren't perfect not a single one of us, but we are perfect for each other.

I love seeing my man with my baby, there's just something about them that so tender to me.

HEHEHEHEHE! I think this picture is so funny, Buckaroo looks like a little
high-council-man, he comes complete with that tired look (like he's trying not to fall asleep during sacrament meeting), and his hair is thicker on the sides than the top, and he's also receding!

This picture needs no explanation.

Thanks Mom!! Thanks Aunt Patsy!! You both rock, and I love you to bits!

Crazier Than Normal Around These Parts!

Okay So I have been on quite a lengthy hiatus, Sorry for that, I apologize I am really so sorry, blogging has been in the back of my mind and I've missed you all terribly. But I am back and I will share all of my excuses why I've been absent for so long

It's hardly fair to call him an excuse, but I just love him like crazy and he gets most of my time, all the time.

Cowboy's sister came and stayed with us for a week, and she is the best house guest one could ever ask for! Yippee! I felt like a real live celebrity. She cooked all our meals and cleaned our home (Seriously deep elbow grease clean). She did laundry, and I slept, oh boy did I ever get to catch up on my sleep. She got up with bucakroo in the night, and I got to sleep like it was 1999. She was my maid and my nanny, and it was delicious!! I miss her and I'm liable to make another baby just to have her back!

Isn't she gorgeous? I think if she were just a bit more blonder she would look exactly like Scarlett Johansen, the movie star. As beautiful as she is on the outside she is so much more beautiful on the inside, she was so easy to talk to and to be around.

She just started a blog!! Check out "Life is Super"

We stayed up late the last night she was here, and we just talked forever, I love staying up late and just talking forever, Cowboy likes to be in bed early, it worked out perfect for me. Anyone want to come have a sleepover, and stay up late and just talk forever?

Lassie gets tired of me staying up late a talking forever with Cowboy's beautiful sister.

I've also been busy training our baby to be a genius and hold his own bottle at a mere six weeks old. Hey around these parts you have to fend for yourself. We'll start em all out young.

And last but not least I get to spend my time with Cowboy!! We had quite a bit of work to do around our home and he wasn't about to let me sit on my duff and not participate. So I make sure and take photographic evidence that I was there, cause who else would take a picture of Cowboy?

I hope you all had a nice easter!!
