It's that time and it tugs at my heart strings.

It's that time..

These puppies are getting big enough that they are ready to move from my home. THis might sound cheesy but I know Tally, and I know it's going to break her little heart, but life goes on and time will heal her broken heart.

This is one of the twins and she is so darling.

This is the big bertha of the litter. She is also darling.

If you know of anyone looking for a puppy they'll be ready for their new homes next week.

If Only.

Some days are good, and some days are bad.

I have my fair share of each.

I have those days where I wish I could sleep the day away.

I have those days where I'm amazed at the things I've accomplished.

I have my good, my bad, and my ugly.

Then I have those days where I think "If only I had her life"

Today is one of those days.

And the stockings were hung..

by the chimney with care....

Our first Christmas together I decided to make my husband and I's stockings. I made the pattern, I'm sure with my crafty families help, and then I completed my projects. I got them embroidered front and back with our names and with "Mom and Dad."

This year I got to add to our family, which means dusting off my crafty juices and putting them to use. I can be crafty, but lately its just not been a priority.

However, I have a small problem, on the new stocking I made the tree with buttons and a larger yellow button for the star. Then today when I was at the Walmart I saw these cute star buttons. My husband likes them, my baby is oblivious when I ask his opinion, Tally wags her tail for either button, they're kind of treat-like, Scooter only alters her ears when I ask her. Everyone I live with is no help.

Here is the stocking with the gold star button over the yellow button, (it's already sewn on.)

And here is the stocking with the yellow button.

I need opinions because I don't do well when it comes to making decisions. What do you think?

Be honest, I like them both. Changing it, or leaving it the way it is, is not an issue. Thanks fr the help!!

Tonight I feel guilty

We got a new wood burning stove, and its a super nice addition to our home.

My hubby has a slight obsession with this stove, maybe its hereditary, but Rowdy has also become fascinated.

The stove sits on a brick platform in the corner of the living room.

We've really kept after Rowdy for touching or climbing on the bricks.

The things we've tried...

Saying no loudly
Pulling him away and distracting him with something else
Smacking his hand and saying "NO"

Well Rowdy is really fast, and there was a fire burning away in the stove, and I had to pee, so I got up to pee and when I was done I came back and guess what?.....

Rowdy had climbed on the bricks and was headed for the stove! Instead of snapping a picture and later blogging about it I picked up my baby and spanked his butt. We had drama for quite a while. What a rough day for him.

Now I feel guilty because this is the first time he's gotten spanked. I'm not quite sure how else to get the point across that will let him know how serious it is.

I'm sure the guilt will go away.

Any advice from you other mom's and not-yet-mom's out there?

Do you ever get that look?

You know, the one where you look like a deer in the headlights.

A couple of nights ago we were winding down for the night. Just having conversational chit chat with each other. Rowdy was wearing us both out. I was addressing Christmas cards or something equally exciting. My husband was building a fire in the fire place, which by the way is his latest obsession.

I looked up from my unexciting task at hand and said "Hey husband, Rowdy got you a really cute Christmas present this year. It's small but I think you'll like it."

I got that look followed by an immediate "Uuuhhh, hey, do you know where that list you wrote for me went?" He started looking around the room trying to look calm, but you can totally tell when a mans mind is a bit frantic.

I love my husband, and as much as I love him and respect him, I would never want to trade brains with him.

Today I am glad I am not a man. Especially my husband, whom I love to pieces.

Welcome. I'm happy to have you.

Aaahhh welcome to my home. The first thing you might notice is how white all the walls are. I promise you I am not in love with them either, I am making color decisions....I'm a really poor decision maker. Anyways this is what you'll see when you come to the front door.

Half way up the stairs I turned around and took this shot. That's what you'll see when you look to the right.

Yup. A giant basket to put your shoes in. Why, you might ask would I have a giant basket to put your shoes in? My sister told me about the basket and the idea when I moved into my first house, and I was really protective of my nice new light colored carpet. Now, its because I have an infant who loves to crawl over the carpet, and he puts his hands in his mouth no less than 4,826 times a day. I counted.

I do try to say this in the nicest way possible, I even tried to cute-sy it up. However if you don't OBEY the sign I will remember who you are, and chances are I will visit your house one day, and I'll do something to get you back.....Like say, put your toothbrush in your toilet, so I feel better about my baby putting your shoe germs in his mouth. Plus, I'm somewhat close to having another infant and if I have two infants on my carpet your shoes could very well put me in the loony bin.

Okay, maybe I'm not that passive aggressive, but you'll really bother me. I promise.

Moving on... Sorry I have a tendency to go off on tangents.

Here is a look down the hallway. Trust me it really isn't that long.

This is the main bathroom. Only it's not my main bathroom, because you see mine is in my bedroom and it has a straightener in the sink, a blow dryer on the floor, hairspray on the counter tops, and probably my bath towels flung over the shower bar, and quite frankly that's just not space I'm ready to share with the public...Unless your going to pee your pants.

This is another view, the only difference is you can see the shower curtain.

And, now we take a turn into my baby's room. It's not very decorated, because I'm going to have another baby and they are going to share rooms, I procrastinated way to long to decorate and make paint decisions, and now I'm pregnant again so I get to wait even longer....That's good for me.

This is the view from in front of his closet. Not much different.

Yet, another view only now we are on the way out.... Oh, by the way reading is really important to us.

Now we are in my bedroom.I need ideas for what to put up above my bed, It's so bare and it taunts me every day I go in there, and the bare space shouts to me "Please cover me up!!" If you've got any great ideas please let me know. That dog bed has quite a funny story with it. when I'm out of things to blog about, I'll share that story. It's been bare since the first of November. I'm sure it misses Tally as much as she misses it. Who wouldn't miss a real feather bed, and no I'm not kidding.

This is the view from the door. This is my husbands side of the bed, look at how neat he keeps his night stand. He bugs me. Let me tell you about my love for my duvet. First you buy your feather or down comforter inside thingy I'll try to remember what it's really called, next you zip on down to Ikea and get yourselves a cover or two. We have three. Next you get rid of all your top sheets and blankets. Then, you sleep under said duvet, and you stay warmer and cozier than you ever have before. Every morning you wake up and you feel like a queen. And when its time to wash your sheets you just slip off the cover like a pillow case and wash it with your regular sheets. It saves an laundry and comfort. If you ever learn anything from me please learn this.

We converted three years ago, and I'm never going back!

Drum roll please....

Last but not least our closets. Everyone take a guess who the A-Type person in the family would be.

His closet.

Her closet.

Go ahead guess....

Please don't ask me why I'm weird about having shoes on my carpet, even though I have two indoor dogs. I'm allowed to be OCD somewhere in my life, because I don't eat the food on my plate one serving at a time, and I just pop all the m&m's into my mouth without color coding them or putting them in rainbow order.

I'll get to more when I have more time. I do have a kitchen, family room and a basement.

Look Who's Walking.....

I sure hope you didn't guess my baby, because then quite frankly, he wouldn't be a baby any more. Really, that's alright because I have another one up and coming. It just stinks when you guess wrong, that's the real reason why I hope you didn't guess my baby.

Nope, he is perfectly content to have wobbly legs, and crawl like he's got real horsepower. That's for you women that have men who are obsessed with pick-ups and the torque, horsepower, suspension, and all other great and fabulous things otherwise known as FORD (again another story for another time).

These gals have been walking for about a week now, and these pictures were taken about a week ago.

Had I put them up a week ago I wouldn't be fashionably late, the way most of you know me, and then you all might get some crazy expectations.

Their little legs were pretty wobbly, but they're getting stronger, and they are causing more trouble.

Next week I'll put up this weeks picture and you'll be able to see how big they were this week, which will then be next week, making it last week.

I love these girls, and I'm trying really hard not to want to keep one. It's torture for a dog lover. Yes, I'm the dog lover around here. It's a hopeless cause and my husband is a very patient man, just for the record.

Staring the week with some big news

Alrighty, some of you might have guessed it. That's right, we're getting ready for baby boy #2. Yep, we already know he's a boy.

Let me start from the beginning. Rowdy was just sixish-sevenish months old and I woke up one night with the worst case of dry feet you have ever experienced. A sensation that I haven't felt since I was pregnant. The thought crossed my mind and I knew I needed a pregnancy test.

I took the test and low-and-behold it was so positive, so I took two more....Why was I so surprised? Well, for starters I have
P.C.O.S. A condition that requires help to conceive a baby. With Rowdy we tried for nearly eighteen months, we had a lot of tears and a lot of frustration, and a lot of fun (if you know what I mean).

So this go around, we decided that birth control was just something extra to worry about. Boy were we ever wrong. Trying to get pregnant the first time I had to take a monthly medley of three different medications and that was lasted forever long. We also had to make a commitment to not go on vacation, take ovulation tests, and buckle down and be serious. Since my doctor wasn't in favor of us wasting his time and going back and forth on whether or not we really wanted a baby. So, when we started treatment, we had to schedule our lives around it for eighteen months. Not so much fun, but we got what we wanted out of it in the end.

Of course we would think that we wouldn't need to do birth control. But as luck would have it I was breast feeding and my body was making hormones that my body normally is very deficient in. So with my hormones all haywire my body decided that she's still in baby making mode, since hormones are what we needed to get our first baby.

Let me just say I really wanted more space between children, because I am not that much of a woman to handle a newborn and a fourteen month old. Anyhow I have to suck up my plans once again (That's another story for another time). I wasn't thrilled but as time has passed I've gotten better and better with the idea.

As with our last baby we waited extra long to tell all of our family, and friends. So now it out and all of you my blogging buddies know. Wheww!

I'm just going to throw this out there....you all may have think that I run late now, just you wait. You don't even know the meaning of late yet!
