I have been M.I.A. Sorry. I really, really am. I have a very good excuse though...I do.
Wasn't it nice of Cowboy to post our baby update, and even nicer of BlackeyedSue to come up with the perfect bloggy name for our baby!! Thanks!! We thought it was just perfect so it stuck.
Lil' buckaroo is really bruised, he has two black eyes, and he looks like he was punched in the nose. I feel guilty about how beat up he looks, its a good thing their were plenty of witnesses to back us up in case social services came knocking down our door!
I am doing really well, however when everyone shares their baby-birthing stories they all forget to include the part where it feels like a hand grenade went off in your hind end. I can't imagine that I am the only one who feels like this. I hope its normal. Other than that all is well with me. Cowboy is doing great too, he is already sleeping thrugh the night. Lucky.
Lil'buckaroo is doing really well to, he isn't lucky like Cowboy though, no sleeping throught the night...hhmmmm.. Maybe later in life. He's gone and got himself a case of the jaundice. His levels are high, and he is attached to a billiblanket. He looks like a little glow worm all the time, he needs to be on the blanket for eighteen hours a day. Things are looking up for him. We might be rid of the blanket by the weekend if he improves. We should know tomorrow. For now we are just enjoying him, yellow skin and all!!!

His poor little eyes! I can't believe how beat up he got coming into the world. He is darling though! I need to see him in person! I can't decide what would be worse... My stomach hurting for six weeks or having my yahoo hurt. That sounds painful. I hope you heal quickly!
I want a glow worm that cute! He is absolutely perfect...poor little eyes!
And you should call me in for backup any time you need a nap. I will hold that cute little buckaroo and you can sleep. Deal?
In that top picture he is all Indian! I am sorry your bottom feels that way. I am standing by my theory.
CRACKING UP about daddy sleeping through the night. They always do. Lucky dogs.
Speaking of dogs...I LOVE that picture of Lassie and lil' buckaroo. I miss our Dusty being in any pictures like that with Squishy. They will be best friends.
Poor baby his little eyes, it makes him look tough. Just a few days old and already doing dangerous boy things. My Car 2 had to have the billi blanket. It is so cute to have a little glow worm. I had a hard time keeping it on him because he was so small and the blanket was so big and the light was kinda stiff.
You need to share your delivery story...why does he have black eyes? He's still darling! I like the hand grenade analogy. That's exactly right. I'm still not healed and that was five months ago! I have problems. I hope yours get better. I think a c-section would be much better. Cute baby!
Yay for more pictures, his poor little eyes. It is amazing what the little things endure with their enterance into this world :).
As for the granade...I have no experience in this matter, but I believe you 100%.
How are you feeling? Can you believe it has already been over a week? When is the cowboy leaving town again?
Is there anything I can come help you with? Dishes? Laundry? A baby rocker while you take a nap? I am being serious, let me know. Especially once Cowboy has to leave town again. I would be happy to come sit on your couch with you, make grilled cheese and chat or watch Oprah together :)
