Where the heck are my priorities?

"Lassie" is the spunkiest most fun dog I have ever crossed paths with.
She has a way of getting to people, even if you don't like dogs you'll like her.

She loves to jump! She has always been a jumper, just hold up a stick or a toy, even a tree branch will do!

Did I mention she also loves to climb? She will climb whatever, or whomever is available to climb, she loves her perch and being up high.

We have this tree in the backyard, it's huge, and it's high. Have I mentioned that Lassie loves to jump climb and be very, very high. She's pretty much fearless. In this house size is not an issue.

We have a spiral staircase in our family room, she will climb to the top and rest there, while soaking in the view, enjoying her perch where she can get a bird's eye view of everything...I guess it would be a dog's eye view...whatever

Have I mentioned that Lassie LOVE LOVE LOVES Lil' Buckaroo! She adores him and follows him as many places as she can.

Imagine my surprise when I walk into his room and find this:

She couldn't help herself, those damned bumper pads just block any hope of a view she might have! Did I mention this canine can jump? climb? get wherever the heck she wants!!

Controversial....maybe. I should have gotten her out of there just as soon as I saw her, but I just had to get a picture! Heaven Help Me!! What kind of a mom am I?

I've debated for days about putting these pictures up, and I figure I just need to tell it like it is!

Please don't judge me...I'm just staying honest!

I have a distant memory of being concerned that Lassie wouldn't accept Buckaroo. WHEWW! Glad I can put that out of my mind!! Now I need to worry about my priorities being in order...... Wait, what priorities?

Burn Baby Burn!

Over the weekend we had to burn, we have to burn every spring and the weather was just right, a tiny bit windy but not enough that we would have to postpone.

This is my kid brother and Cowboy. My kid brother was nice enough to give up his Saturday and help us out. Isn't he cute?
Wait which one?!

We have to gather up all the loose wood, and with as many trees as we have believe me there is a lot of loose wood to burn.

There is already a place to burn, it's like a big hole on the corner of the field and the ditch, i guess it's where they meet.

Anyways it can turn into quite a job, someone has to man the hose in case the fire jumps the fire line. Cowboy burns all of the edges of that big hole I was telling you about, we don't want to light the ditch on fire just the part we are trying to burn.

We had enough waste and wood and stuff (I say stuff because that what it was, nothing with a proper title...Stuff) we started in the morning and the boys fed the fire until the evening.

Here is more stuff.

I even took a moment to put down my camera and pick up the hose and do water duty for a bit, Believe it or not I am productive once in a while! That's my proof.

I know I started out with this picture but I love it, so I put it up again. They are just both so cute!

Crazier Than Normal Around These Parts!

Okay So I have been on quite a lengthy hiatus, Sorry for that, I apologize I am really so sorry, blogging has been in the back of my mind and I've missed you all terribly. But I am back and I will share all of my excuses why I've been absent for so long

It's hardly fair to call him an excuse, but I just love him like crazy and he gets most of my time, all the time.

Cowboy's sister came and stayed with us for a week, and she is the best house guest one could ever ask for! Yippee! I felt like a real live celebrity. She cooked all our meals and cleaned our home (Seriously deep elbow grease clean). She did laundry, and I slept, oh boy did I ever get to catch up on my sleep. She got up with bucakroo in the night, and I got to sleep like it was 1999. She was my maid and my nanny, and it was delicious!! I miss her and I'm liable to make another baby just to have her back!

Isn't she gorgeous? I think if she were just a bit more blonder she would look exactly like Scarlett Johansen, the movie star. As beautiful as she is on the outside she is so much more beautiful on the inside, she was so easy to talk to and to be around.

She just started a blog!! Check out "Life is Super"

We stayed up late the last night she was here, and we just talked forever, I love staying up late and just talking forever, Cowboy likes to be in bed early, it worked out perfect for me. Anyone want to come have a sleepover, and stay up late and just talk forever?

Lassie gets tired of me staying up late a talking forever with Cowboy's beautiful sister.

I've also been busy training our baby to be a genius and hold his own bottle at a mere six weeks old. Hey around these parts you have to fend for yourself. We'll start em all out young.

And last but not least I get to spend my time with Cowboy!! We had quite a bit of work to do around our home and he wasn't about to let me sit on my duff and not participate. So I make sure and take photographic evidence that I was there, cause who else would take a picture of Cowboy?

I hope you all had a nice easter!!

Lil' Buckaroo is 1 month old

Today Buckaroo is one month old, I love that he is growing, but at the same time, I want him to stay this tiny and sweet forever. He has brought a new feeling into our home, a sense of fulfillment and completion that we didn't have before. Even though this little fella' has only been here for a month, he has turned Cowboy and I into more understanding, and compassionate people.

We love to just watch him and all the things he does. When he is awake, he will sit with big bold eyes, and watch, it looks like he is just observing everything going on around him. Occasionally he will even call out to his homies and throw down some gang signs.

Buckaroo has had the hiccups every day since he was born, sometimes mutliple times a day, he is out of preemie clothes, and into newborn clothes, I tried fitting him into a 0-3 month outfit, and they make the boy look even smaller than he is. Sometimes he think s about being a runt to much, and it gets to him....I would cry too.

We love Buckaroo so much, We wouldn't trade him for the world! He is the best parts of Cowboy and I and the best thing we have accomplished together.

Thank you for being ours Buckaroo!!

Cowboy can still get him to smile with his mouth open, This was as much of a smile as he was going to show me. It'll do.

I don't buy it!

Have you ever heard the one where they say man has evolved, and he was once a primate, who walked on all fours and learned to walk upright and build fire and invent the wheel, and drive fords pickups, and hunt beautiful creatures with firearms and all sorts of things.

Well my friends I tell you its not true any of it, I am a living breathing testament telling you don't believe what they tell you!

If it was true Cowboy would be sitting up to this lovely computer at the lovely hour of 2 a.m. with a nursing pillow wrapped around his waist and our sweet lil' buckaroo sucking on his hot pair MAN BOOBS, and his ears would have burned with that primal instinct that doesn't let him sleep through the night, and he would wake up when the child cries, or breathes different or squirms in his sleep. Well, Cowboy lays in our very soft, cozy warm bed, and he is sound asleep, I don't think he even knows I have been up twice already. and when I suggest that he just try letting buckaroo suck on his teets, so he can experience that whole bonding thing everyone talks about He doesn't even laugh! I'm so serous when I say it too, I think I scare him sometimes.

In the next life I would like him to sport a pair of MAN BOOBS!

Evolution is crap!

Cowboy is lucky!

Update: Buckaroo slept from 3:30 a.m. till 8 a.m., this is a great day

Sorry I keep complaining about sleep, you see sleep is so crucial for me, without it I am a delirious wandering bear. It might be a genetic thing, but quite frankly, it may just be the very foundation of my being a decent human being. with as much as I've gotten last night I just might be helpful to the world....

Kariann & Liliana!!

Lil' Buckaroo had a visitor from the great state of Texas!
Liliana came to meet & greet her newest cousin, they had such fun together, considering they can only have as much fun as a 6 month old and a 3 week old can have.

Liliana was nice enough to bring her mommy with her who just so happens to be my best friend, you know the kind friend who is a once in a lifetime kind of best friend! The kind that has their trials yet still loves each other like crazy. Yep, she's that friend for me.
Kariann!!!

Who just so happens to be lucky enough to be Cowboys little sister! What a wonderful world. We loved having them visit, and we were very sad to see them go. We need to come up with a master plan to get them to move back here, so we can do all of our baby raisin' together.

They sure don't look like brother and sister do they?

Isn't she a little cutie?!

Lil' Buckaroo, Cowboy and I are going to miss you guys! We hope to see you again soon.

My little mystery

Today there is something I just can't figure out...

I am just in awe at how this sweet, innocent, little, and beautiful baby can make me so tired and exhausted. The last few days lil' buckaroo has gotten the better of me. I swear it the little creature has all but schooled me into thinking he is a sweet baby. Don't get me wrong, I do love him. It just remains a mystery to me.

Maybe just maybe he will sleep like this for more than one hour.

Hope so!
